Gorakhpur to Pokhara — Arrival & Check-In

Early morning pickup from Gorakhpur. Board your private 26-Seater Tempo Traveller for the overland drive to Pokhara — approximately 7.5 to 8 hours through the Nepal–India border at Sunauli and onward through lush Himalayan foothills. Pokhara is Nepal's second largest city, situated at an altitude of 827 to 1,740 metres with the Annapurna range — home to three of the world's ten highest peaks (Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Manaslu) — rising dramatically within 15 to 35 miles. The reflection of Machapuchare (Fish Tail Peak) in Phewa Lake is one of the most photographed scenes in the Himalayan world. Arrive at Seven Lakes Resort, check in, freshen up and enjoy a welcome dinner. Your tour guide joins the group today and briefs everyone on the days ahead. Evening is free to stroll along the lakeside promenade. Overnight stay at Pokhara.

2

Pokhara Full Day Sightseeing

After breakfast, set out for a full day exploring the natural and cultural gems of Pokhara. Begin at the Old Bazaar of Pokhara city — a charming traditional market district with local crafts, spices and Newari architecture. Visit Bindhayabasini Temple — one of the most important Hindu temples in Pokhara, dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, perched on a hilltop with panoramic city views. Continue to Seti George (Seti River Gorge) — a dramatic narrow gorge where the milky white Seti Gandaki river thunders through a crack in the earth barely visible from the bridge above. Stop at Pokhara Regional Museum for insights into the culture, art and history of the Gandaki region. Then comes the highlight of the day — Davis Falls (Patale Chhango), where the Pardi Khola river disappears dramatically into an underground rocky tunnel. Just opposite is Gupteshwor Cave, a sacred limestone cave dedicated to Lord Shiva with impressive stalactite formations and a viewing platform over the falls. Finish with boating at Mahendra Cave and the iconic Phewa Lake boat ride to Tal Barahi Temple — a two-storeyed pagoda on a lake island with the Annapurna range reflected in the calm water. Many Hindu and Buddhist temples line the lake. Evening free to explore Lakeside area. Overnight stay at Pokhara.

3

Pokhara to Kathmandu — Transfer with Enroute Sightseeing

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the scenic drive to Kathmandu — approximately 210 km, 6 to 7 hours along the Prithvi Highway, flanked by the Trishuli River and terraced hillsides. On a clear morning, the mountain views from the highway are spectacular. En route you have the option (at extra cost) of visiting Manakamna Temple — the wish-fulfilling goddess shrine in Gorkha district, reached by a 10-minute cable car ride that offers magnificent views of the Marsyangdi River valley. The temple is highly auspicious and a cherished pilgrimage stop. Alternatively, river rafting on the Trishuli River is available at extra cost for the adventure-seeker in the group. Arrive in Kathmandu and check in to Pabera Heritage Boutique. Relax and freshen up. Evening free to explore Thamel — the vibrant hub of shops, cafes and Himalayan handicrafts. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

4

Kathmandu Full Day Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a full day tour of Kathmandu's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Begin at Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) — one of the oldest Buddhist shrines in the world, perched atop a forested hill above the Kathmandu Valley. The 365-step climb leads to the iconic golden stupa with the all-seeing eyes of Buddha painted on all four sides, surrounded by prayer flags, spinning prayer wheels and resident monkeys. The panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley from the hilltop is extraordinary. Continue to Boudhanath — the world's largest stupa of Tibetan Buddhist culture, ringed by monasteries, prayer wheels and butter lamps. The atmosphere of monks chanting in crimson robes, the circling of the stupa by pilgrims at dawn and dusk, and the Himalayan art in the surrounding galleries make this one of Asia's most powerful spiritual spaces. Next, Pashupatinath Temple — one of the holiest Shiva shrines in the world, on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. The main pagoda temple (entry for Hindus only; the entire complex is open to all) is surrounded by smaller shrines, sadhus, and the burning ghats where cremations take place openly. Afternoon visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square — the ancient royal palace complex with Hanuman Dhoka, the palace of the living goddess Kumari (vestal virgin), and the intricately carved Newari temples. End with Budhanilkantha — the largest stone sculpture in Nepal, depicting Lord Vishnu sleeping on a bed of serpents in a pool of water. Evening free at Thamel for local shopping. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

5

Kathmandu to Chitwan — Transfer with Manakamna Temple Visit

Early morning breakfast and check out. Drive to Chitwan — approximately 175 km, 5 to 6 hours through the scenic mid-hills of Nepal descending into the Terai plains. En route, visit Manakamna Temple (cable car charges extra) — the powerful goddess shrine that grants wishes, with a breathtaking 10-minute cable car ride over the gorge. Arrive at Chitwan and check in to Lord CBC Plaza. Chitwan is a UNESCO World Heritage destination known for its extraordinary wildlife and jungle experiences. The Chitwan National Park was once the royal hunting grounds of Nepali kings before becoming a conservation landmark. This evening, enjoy an Elephant Safari through the jungle — one of the most thrilling experiences in South Asia, watching one-horned rhinos, deer, monkeys and countless bird species from atop an elephant. After the safari, enjoy a Tharu Folk Dance cultural performance (optional) — a vibrant traditional performance of the Tharu indigenous community. Evening is free for a village walk and sunset view over the grasslands. Overnight stay at Chitwan.

6

Chitwan Jungle Activities — Departure to Gorakhpur

Early morning, enjoy a Jungle Jeep Safari through Chitwan National Park — spotting one-horned rhinos, gharial crocodiles, spotted deer, langurs and over 500 bird species in the wild. Visit the Elephant Breeding Center — a conservation facility where you can interact with elephants and their calves in a natural setting. End with the beloved Elephant Bath experience — one of the most joyful and memorable moments of any Chitwan visit, watching the gentle giants splash and play in the river while mahouts care for them. After this magical morning, freshen up, enjoy your final breakfast in Nepal, and board the Tempo Traveller for the drive back to Gorakhpur Railway Station or Airport. Your tour concludes with unforgettable memories of mountains, temples, jungles and the warmth of an all-women adventure through Nepal.

Frequently Asked Questions

About Nepal

Nepal is one of the most extraordinary travel destinations in the world — a small Himalayan kingdom that packs in towering mountain peaks, ancient temple complexes, vibrant living culture, and serene lakeside retreats within a compact geography. Home to eight of the world's ten highest peaks including Mount Everest, Nepal draws trekkers, pilgrims, families, and curious travellers from every corner of the globe. Kathmandu, the capital city, is a living museum of Newar art and architecture. Its UNESCO World Heritage Sites — including Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and Patan Durbar Square — showcase centuries of Hindu and Buddhist coexistence. The city's narrow alleys, incense-scented air, and the constant sound of temple bells create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in South Asia. Pokhara, Nepal's second city, sits at the edge of Phewa Lake with a stunning backdrop of the Annapurna mountain range. Known for its laid-back cafes, adventure sports, and serene lakeside promenade, Pokhara offers a perfect counterpoint to Kathmandu's intensity. Sunrise views of Machapuchare (Fish Tail) and the Annapurna massif from Sarangkot are among the most photographed moments in Himalayan travel. For Indian travellers, Nepal holds a special spiritual significance — Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest Shiva temples in the world, drawing thousands of Hindu pilgrims year-round. The en-route Manokamana Temple, accessible by cable car, is a powerful goddess shrine revered across the subcontinent. Nepal is also one of the most visa-friendly destinations for Indian citizens — no visa is required, and Indian currency (₹100 and above) is widely accepted. **How to Reach Nepal from India:** Direct flights connect Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, and Lucknow to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Flight time from Delhi is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Carriers include IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, and Nepal Airlines. Overland entry is possible at the Sunauli–Bhairahawa border crossing (for Pokhara) or the Raxaul–Birgunj crossing (for Kathmandu), both fully accessible to Indian nationals. **Weather:** Kathmandu sits at 1,400 m — temperatures range from 2–10°C in winter (December–February) to 25–30°C in summer. Pokhara at 822 m is warmer year-round. The monsoon season (June–September) brings heavy rainfall. October–November and February–April are the most comfortable months for sightseeing. **Local Transport:** Within Kathmandu, taxis and app-based rides (Pathao, InDrive) are the most convenient options. Metered taxis are cheaper but require negotiation — agree on price before boarding. In Pokhara, electric rickshaws and taxis cover Lakeside and the main attractions. The Kathmandu–Pokhara inter-city journey is best done by private vehicle or tourist bus (NPR 600–1,000 per seat on tourist coaches).
