Force Majeure Policy

Quick Summary Some events — like natural disasters, pandemics, or government travel bans — are beyond anyone's control. In such cases, we will do our best to help but cannot guarantee full refunds or compensation. Travel insurance is strongly recommended for protection in such situations.
1. What Is a Force Majeure Event?
A Force Majeure Event is something that happens beyond the reasonable control of HMX Global Travels or its suppliers that prevents, delays, or makes it impractical to deliver a confirmed booking.
Force Majeure Events include but are not limited to:
- Earthquakes, floods, cyclones, tsunamis, avalanches, or volcanic eruptions
- Severe storms or extreme snowfall causing road or operational closures
- Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies declared by the government
- Government-ordered travel bans, border closures, or lockdowns
- Political unrest, civil disturbance, riots, or public disorder
- Terrorist activity, war, or armed conflict
- National or regional strikes, bandhs, or transport shutdowns
- Airline groundings or mass flight cancellations
- Landslides, major road damage, or infrastructure failures
2. What HMX Global Will Do
If a Force Majeure Event affects your booking, we will:
- Notify you as early as possible.
- Try to arrange alternative services or alternative travel dates where possible.
- Communicate with suppliers to determine what refunds are available.
3. Refunds in Force Majeure Situations
Refunds in Force Majeure situations are limited to whatever amounts HMX Global is able to recover from the relevant suppliers. We cannot guarantee full refunds, as suppliers also have their own Force Majeure policies.
HMX Global's service fees and coordination charges are non-refundable in Force Majeure situations.
4. No Compensation
HMX Global is not liable to pay compensation, damages, or consequential losses arising from a Force Majeure Event.
5. Protect Yourself With Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance with Force Majeure and trip cancellation coverage is the best protection against these situations. We strongly recommend purchasing it before your trip.
